Introduction to Structural Medicine and the 2,000-hour Structural Medicine Specialist (SMS) Program offered by the Institute of Structural Medicine. Workshop introduces the SMS approach to Structural Integration using Myofascial Length Testing (MFLT), Voice Dialog, movement therapy, and specific sequential myofascial protocols for aligning the body in gravity.

Preparation for Structural Medicine Specialist Training:   10-Day Workshop
St. Louis, MO

(October, 2007)
NCBTMB approved; 80 CEU credits

This course will prepare you for the 2,000-hour Structural Medicine Training. You will learn to understand what Structural Integration is, and the basics of the Structural Integration Series. This will include:

  1. Myofascial anatomy and understanding the intricate connections between all layers of the body.
  2. Pathophysiology of fascia and how it affects our bodies' functions.
  3. Understanding the difference between Massage and Structural Integration, and understand the benefits of both.
  4. Learning how to objectively measure myofascial restrictions.
  5. Customizing your treatments to truly meet your clients' needs.
  6. Learning to find the root cause for client complaints or pain.
  7. Enhancing your capacity to evaluate posture and movement through dynamic "seeing."
  8. Developing structural treatment strategies that work.
  9. Learning to communicate objectively with medical professionals.
  10. Developing dynamic dialog skills with your clients to effect their change.
Cost:
$1200 if paid in full by September 15, 2007
$1500 after September 15, 2007
